Plans for the BrokkenFabriek:
We will start with clear short pieces in which the roles are not set. Who takes which part, improvises or accompanies, turns right, or doesn't do anything: it happens in the moment. We will mould the pieces each time in a different way.
Composer/violist Oene van Geel has been one of the most prolific young talents the Dutch jazz scene has produced in recent years. Influenced by jazz, Indian music, and free improvisation, he has applied his virtuoso improvisation skills and his composition talents to a breathtakingly wide scope of musical activities. He has worked with: Benoit Delbecq, George Coleman, B.C. Manjunath, David Kweksilber, Uri Caine, Jesse van Ruller, Anton Goudsmit, Jeroen van Vliet, Mete Erker, Mark Helias, Afra Mussawisade and many others.
