"After nine long years playing the recorder I finally switched to the drums, which I like much better. I had lessons at Muziekschool Amsterdam with Olaf Keus, in New York with Dom Famularo and the last couple of years I play in Armando Cairo's jazzworkshop. Mainly jazz, so in the BrokkenFabriek I hope to broaden my horizon. I'm very curious for the freedom of improvisation - the history of the drumset goes from simple keeping the rhythm to more and more freedom, so I hope the BrokkenFabriek is the next step."
